He released a self titled album in 2009, through an independent record label. The Album is an adult contemporary crossover album (Enjoyed by Black, white, Indian and coloured) targeting the middle to higher LSM groups. He can be found singing at prestigious Corporate, private and government functions on most days. . It features some of your favourite hits such as Back for Good, December 63, the Afrikaans hit; Loslappie and some of his own original songs like Wedding day and Time to Dance.

Following his world acclaimed performances with The Lion King theatrical in Los Angeles; California and Der Koenig Der Loewen in Hamburg; Germany, the sensational singer has captured hearts of fans all over South Africa. Bongani auditioned with more than 5000 of some of the best talent in South Africa to get chosen for The Lion King.

The man behind the just released Lead SA Campaign song, that features Dr Victor, Proverb, Zyon (Liquid Deep), Thembi Seete, Bo (Denim), Thabo and Nonhlanhla Mdluli, Bongani released his long awaited 13 track self titled album in 2009. As a well sought after voice over artist, his voice can be recognised in many adverts, including the Super sport, PSL ABSA cups, and SABC 2. He has MC’d many functions and was a judge at the miss South Africa 2008 pageant at the Lost City.
Bongani is currently Presenter and radio personality on the biggest breakfast show in Gauteng: THE BREAKFAST EXPRESS on 94.7 Highveld Stereo. Co-Presenter , M-net Sound check Live and The Perfect Sishebo Show on SABC 2
