Chris Forrest
started his comedy career in 1999, at the Funny Farm
Comedy Bar at the Randburg Waterfront. Now a
constant favourite in the Comedy Express venues
countrywide, he has the Ha Ha East Coast Radio
Comedy Festival (Durban, August 2000, September
2001) and the Smirnoff International Comedy Festival
(Johannesburg and Cape Town, October 2000) under his
belt - audiences absolutely adored his refreshing
humour.

Chris Forrest is
South Africa's answer to Steve Wright, the deadpan
face of American stand-up. Chris' witty and cynical
one-line humour is thought provoking and to the
point. Totally nerdish and unflappable, his Drew
Carey- looks and slowed-up delivery have ensured
that audiences take to him enthusiastically.

No stranger to the
international scene, Chris performed at the
Edinburgh festival in 2003 and 2005 (the latter to
sell out crowds). He has also worked at various
comedy clubs in and around London, including the
prestigious “Headliners” in Chiswick, and the
infamous “Up the Creek” in Greenwich.

He was also one of the stars, as both a writer and
performer, on the highly successful “Pure Monate
Show” a sketch comedy series which aired on SABC
1 in 2003 and 2004, as well as staring in numerous
ad campaigns including; “Joe the volunteer coach” in
the Sasol Olympic campaign which took the country by
storm. As well as appearing in the recent Vodacom
campaign, as a Man United fan. Most recently, Chris
appeared not once, not twice, but an astounding FOUR
times as himself in an E-bucks advert.

More recently, Chris is one of the co-founders of
“Starship Improvise”, a comedy team which
specialises in "Who's Line is it Anyway"
style improvised comedy.
