Nominated for “Best Stand-up Comic of the Year” in 2007 at the SA Comedy Awards, and nominee in the 2006 “Fleur de Cap Theatre Award” for “Best Performance in a One-hander”, Newton is nothing short of a comedy chameleon. Able to manoeuvre from one audience to another, he always fits the bill.

David made his TV presenting debut on SABC3’s Couch Trip (Big Blue Productions- who also created Going Nowhere Slowly), which ran for two seasons in 2006.
