Dixie Swingers - Instrumental, Jazz, Function Band and Party Band - Cape Town

We are an acoustic band of seasoned,  sober, non-smoking,  punctual and smart professional musicians,  five in all,  who play acoustic music from the 1920’s,  ‘30’s,  40’s & 50’s.  Dixieland and swing tunes most which you’ll probably know as we administer the ideal stress relief for the client, guests and, equally importantly, you, the organiser.

Always smartly dressed, punctual, well prepared, of sober habits and musically efficient, the Dixie Swingers Jazz Band will enhance your social or corporate event and illicit compliments from your guests at you having chosen such an unusual and pleasant 'mood creator'.

As they are an acoustic band, they do not employ unwieldy noisy electronic sound systems, they don't use music stands or sheet music and they are able to move around the venue, inside or out, with complete ease and in compliance with the clients' requirements.

They arrive ten minutes before they are due to play, instruments at the ready, taking up the position the host requires, and just play. Nothing too loud or controversial. Just pleasant tunes that most people know as they 'decorate' the venue with a musical smile and lighten the atmosphere.

If the host wants them to play somewhere else, they just walk to the new spot and start immediately, no hassle.

They look a bit comical too which explains why hundreds of people have had their photo taken with them for pleasant humorous memories.

When they are finished they quietly disappear with no disruption to the function.  As with arrival,  there's no removal of equipment.  Less than one minute and they are gone.

All in all, they are more convenient than a transistor radio and better looking, (well almost).
