Dreamcast - Modern Dancers, Youth Group, Solo, Group dancers and Shows - Johannesburg

DREAMCAST began in 2002 at Squarehill Primary School in Retreat and today is made up of 15 primary and high school learners.

All dances are choreographed by the dancers themselves, and performances are adapted to suit the event.

Some of their more notable performances and achievements from 2006:

Since 2003 the group has performed at the Artscape Theatre’s Schools Arts Festival.  In 2006 Artscape introduced the Gala Evening to highlight the schools that had excelled during the festival.  For two consecutive years (2006 & 2007), DREAMCAST were selected to perform the showstopper at the Gala Evening.

Performed at the Community Chest Carnival in 2007 & 2008, as well as the Mardi Gras

Participated in the Baxter Theatre’s Dance Festival in September 2007

At the Blue Route Talent Search contest, they were runners-up in the dance category

Performed at three CD launches, as well as two fashion shows
