News Update:

Entertainment Online

On the entertainment front much has happened and we bring exciting news as well as take a look at some of what we got up to this month.

Our Entertainment Online agency has hundreds of artists listed and can provide any event with just the right entertainment, whether you want a function DJ or a high profile keynote speaker, we can assist.

Some of what we got up to this month:

We assisted a few events with entertainment this month, including a church event in which Gcina Mhlophe carried out a talk. She spoke about how Africa has always been a sleeping giant and that now is the time for Africa to experience something new through the gospel, that love will unite us not only as Africans but also Africa and beyond.

We also assisted a private 21st birthday in which The Muses and a function DJ performed. We also assisted the Massmart Road Show in which Ladysmith Black Mambazo performed at Monte Casino.

It’s been another good month in the entertainment sector and it’s always a pleasure working with entertainment greats, like Gcina and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Further on the entertainment circuit, the previously rivalled artists, A Reece and Nasty C, have joined forces to create greatness. The pair-up has been something that fans have wanted for a time, and they finally put their differences aside and gave the fans what they want. Nasty C asked Reece to join his Ivyson tour, which he agreed to. The tour started in 2017 and it seems will go forth right into 2019.

More to great South African entertainment is the upcoming new local reality show, Love at Second Swipe, which premiers on the 25th of October at 20:00 on DSTV 131. The show is hosted by the one and only Pabi Moloi and will see two people get complete makeovers in the hopes of helping them find true love. The guests of the show will go through physical makeovers, have their dating profiles revamped as well as delve deeper into issues that could possibly be holding them back in the pursuit of finding true love.

To end this month’s newsletter we take a look at Mawat:

Mawat recently released a new single, Mollo, which translates to Fire, and is currently on high rotation on all the major radio stations, with a remix on the way that will feature Mzekezeke, Kwesta and others. The video for Mollo is also already out and premiered on Live Amp in September.

The single officially released on the 24th of August 2018 in which Mawat provided a special social media performance, which also trended on Instagram and Twitter on the day.

Mawat released his debut album, Blessed, on the 1st of November 2016 and will drop his follow-up album, Pressure, in November this year (2018), which will feature the new single, Mollo.

The new single is a ghetto soundtrack and is currently heard by all the hoods in Mzansi, Swaziland and Botswana. The track delivers a semi Kwaito backtrack with a hectic baseline and a hypnotic sing-along hook.

“Mollo, Mollo, ke Butla Mollo”

The lyrical hook is Mawat’s way of saying he needs more fire to fuel his purpose, passion and mission.

Mawat is a multi-award winning solo gospel rapper, musician and producer. He is arguably one of the most successful rappers with clean content throughout Africa. The artist hails from Durban but currently resides in Johannesburg.

That’s great news for Mawat fans; make sure to keep an eye out for his new single and soon-to-be released album, or book him through our agency to perform at your event.

That’s it for this month’s newsletter.
