Peter Pote, Evolver One's prolific singer, songwriter and guitarist has been a musician since his early teens.

Sean Murphy is Evolver One's keyboard player and can be heard on backing vocals on most of the band's songs spanning 3 albums.

James Cohen joined Evolver One in May 2006, his brilliant bass playing adds the groove,which is Evolver One's rock 'n roll signature.

Tulsa Pittaway, After seven years with the platinum selling band Watershed and with numerous European tours under his belt, Tulsa decided it was time to move on and explore his rock n roll roots.

Evolver 1

Evolver 1, one of South Africa’s premier rock bands was formed in Port Elizabeth in 2001. Founding members Peter Pote and Sean Murphy moved to Johannesburg in 2005 to pursue their rock dreams.

Joined by Tulsa Pittaway and James Cohen the band’s popularity and appeal has reached countless South African music fans. The four piece band’s inherent love and passion for raw rock ‘n roll, married with modern funk has ensured their nationwide success and rise to fame on the South African music scene.

Evolver 1 is committed to making South African rock the voice of change. Evolver  1 is leading the way to make a stand for positive social, political and environmental change through music and action. The effort called “Project Evolution" aims to invigorate and motivate South Africans to join the mission.

Evolver 1 has released two chart topping albums to date and completed an astounding 15 national tours. Headlining and performing at countless major South African music festivals, most notably MyCokeFest and Coke Zero Fest. Evolver 1 has shared the stage with international acts such as Oasis, Snow Patrol, 3 Doors Down, Panic at the Disco, Stained, Hooberstank and Evanescence.
