Francois Hardy and Lauren Laing - Duo, Rock Band,
Pop Band, Function Band and party band - Durban
LAUREN:
Lauren’s singing career began at the tender age of
seven, when she appeared in the Playhouse Company’s
production of ‘The Sound of Music’. Since then,
Lauren has appeared in several musicals including
‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ and ‘Annie’.
She was a backing singer for Garth Taylor in the
Simply Red Tour of South Africa, and has performed
at huge events at the I.C.C. and Absa Sports
Stadium.
She
has recorded with Garth Taylor and Prokid, and
released her own album “Bounce.” Lauren’s album
produced a hit single, entitled, “For the Girls”
which appeared on the charts of East Coast Radio,
5FM and many other radio stations. |

A
firm favourite at uShaka Marine World, Lauren
starred at the Upper Deck’s hit show ‘Tainted Love’
last year. After completing a run of ‘Rocking All
Over the World’ at The Barnyard, Lauren starred
opposite Jonothan Didlick in the hit show ‘Blondes
on Deck’, and more recently, ‘Twist and Shout,’ a
tribute to 60s music, at The Upper Deck, alongside
popular boy band ‘Tequila Sunrise.’
This extremely motivated young artist holds a degree
in media and communications, and also finds time to
perform on a no-fee basis for her charity of choice
– The Sunflower Fund. Lauren is in the process of
releasing an original song, inspired by a leukaemia
patient, that is aimed at creating awareness, and
income for the Sunflower Fund, entitled ‘The Day I
Sang for You.’ |

FRANCOIS:
The
Band EQUINOX was one of the most successful
South African Bands, having recorded an album with
David Gresham Records (DGR) South Africa’s largest
independent Record Label.
Francois Hardy
toured and performed South Africa as a founding
member of Equinox and enjoyed several successes and
exposure on Radio and Television, with several
popular music videos aired constantly, increasing
their popularity.
Equinox split and Francois has continued to enjoy a
very successful career as a professional musician.
He is an accomplished Drummer, percussionist and
Singer. Francois appeal is that he has a diverse
and very unique repertoire, a combination or Pop,
Rock, Ballads and Latin. |

He
sings in English, Spanish and French and is one of
the only current musicians performing “Latino”,
smooth beautiful music with joyful, vibrant carnival
beats; it is a dynamic combination of rhythms and
vocals.
Francois track record as a performer speaks for
itself. He has hosted National Beauty pageants,
performed to thousands of fans at our Rugby stadiums
as well as for our politicians and as opening acts
for international artistes.
In
addition Francois has worked and performed as
Resident Band / Artiste at several top South African
and Swaziland Hotel Resorts. He is a regular on the
National Corporate function circuit, working
regularly for large Nationals at product launches,
end of year functions etc.
Performing together this dynamic duo provides a
slick, polished and professional performance,
appealing to a cosmopolitan audience. |
