Francois Hardy was an integral member of the band Equinox, who were one of the most successful South Africa has seen. They recorded an album with David Gresham and have launched several successful music videos which have been televised nationally

Francois sings in English, Spanish and French, and plays lively percussion. Together with his band he provides a slick, polished performance with a repertoire ranging from Ballades, Rock, Pop and Francois' forte - “Latino".

Francois has performed for Arch Bishop Tutu at the Masibuye graduation. Francois (Equinox) performed prior to Los Del Rio (Macarena) in their Durban leg of their National Concert Tour.

Profiles of the Band Members

Marc Schmitt - Guitar
Marc has over 20 years experience on stage with a variety of bands and artists from Tina Turner to, more recently, South African hip hop star Garth Taylor.

Ian Jones - Bass / Vocals
Ian came out to South Africa with visiting British Band “Altitude”. He has gained a reputation as one of the most respected studio musicians in South Africa. Ian has recently returned from a six month contract at The Hilton Hotel in Shang Hai and has performed at the Dockyard Theatre.

Female Vocalists:

Lauren Laing has been singing and performing since she was 7 years old. She was a top 20 finalist in the Idols 2002 Competition and has recently released her debut album "Bounce” featuring the track “For the Girls” which local radio stations and listeners alike have made a firm South African favourite.

Karen performed on the luxury cruiseliner, The MS Royal Star, then took a lead role in the pantomime of Sleeping Beauty which ran for 5 months at the Playhouse Cellar Theatre in Durban. More recently Karen Performed in the hit supper theatre show ABBA, as well as Rock Solid, The Motown Show, Hollywood Rocks and a tribute to Madonna.

In 2007 Francois performed with Lauren Laing at uShaka Marine World, Durban and was part of the ''Hot, Hot, Hot'', "Tribute to Swing" and "Diva's on deck" shows.
