Freedom Hadebe

Freedom Hadebe is a South African actor and musician best known for his role as Mandla Khumalo in the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan, since 2006. Freedom Hadebe has also appeared in the TV shows Soul City, Justice For All and Scout Safari, which was nominated for a NAACP award in New York. 

Mandla is a young, dynamic journalist and works as news- and crime-reporter fort the Hillside Times. He is enthusiastic and loves a challenge. It gives him great joy to publish a big story and he enjoys the admiration of his friends, but even more so of his editor, Neville Meintjies. Mandla has many friends in Hillside and likes a night out on the town.

He is well qualified and has contacts in all the right positions, which comes in handy in his line of work. Mandla and Paula are constantly competing for cover stories, but Mandla usually wins.
