Hannes Brummer - Comedian, MC and Actor - Johannesburg

Hannes was born deep in the heart of the West Rand and accordingly suffered a suburban youth. He often blames his opinions on this fact. His comedic style is highly energetic and physical, at times self-depreciating but ultimately optimistic. His tongue is always firmly in cheek as he observes the world we live in.

Hannes Brummer

In 2002 Hannes formed the sketch comedy troupe Zef-Sketse with four of his dearest student friends. This culminated in two Oppikoppi performances and the KykNet production Blikskottel. Now trading as PIT productions, the same team also devised, wrote and performed in the SABC2 comedy program Kompleks.

Hannes has been a member of Joe Parker's Improv Express for many years now, and has since ventured into professional stand-up comedy.

Hannes Brummer regularly appears as a MC for Pretoria based folk rock band Green Acre.
