Ian von Memerty is a South African performer, writer and director.
Has directed and conceptualised many corporate benefits such as: Hollard - Century of Flight (2004), Nelson Mandela's 85th Birthday Celebration (2004), World Cup Cricket Banquets (2003), Vodacom Year End Huge Party (2001), Redken New York/SA Launch (2001), Sasol 50th Anniversary Celebrations (2000), World Wildlife Fund Campaign Gala concert (2000), Alexander Forbes Logo Launch (1999), Yebonet Launch (1998) and CNA/Literary Awards (1996).
His performance career began in the '80's and included directing titles such as The Rocky Horror Show, Umoja, Fiela's Child and Grease.
Ian conceptualised and performed in the two-man piano show A Handful of Keys and currently performs in his one-man show Captain Entertainment.
He is the host of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Sandy Ngema.
