La VuVuZela - Pop, R&B Girl Band - Cape Town

“Be Mine Tonight” – the first single to hit the shelves from this new girl band was debuted on radios in September 2009. La VuVuZela are a sexy pop group with R&B and House sounds. The three member band met three months prior to signing with UK label Unie Moller Music.

The band hit Number One on KFM / Radio Highveld top ten charts in September and October of 2009, followed by another number one position on the Nokia Take 40 SA Charts. They also get airplay on international radio stations.

Their debut album “In Stereo” was available to the public from November 2009, and was an immediate success. The album was nominated for a SAMA award.

Sam, Tarryn and Tamsyn all come from musical backgrounds. Sam and Tarryn both graduated from The Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town. Tamsyn used to perform with Cape Town Dance Company – Afrika Ablaze.
