Lloyd Cele - Pop and Solo Musician - Johannesburg

Gracing the country's stages at Miss SA pageant, Gary the tooth fairy show on M-net, the Paarl jazz festival in Cape Town and the Durban ICC to name a few, just months ago L'loyd Cele would never have imagined himself to be one of the country's most popular upcoming artists.

The singer breezed into the finals of M-net Idols season VI last year and this year is currently working on his debut album together with Loyiso Bala and well known producer Crighton Goodwill. The CD is expected to be released at the beginning of March 2011 and fans can expect collaborations with other artists.

Before Idols, L'loyd was passionate about music. He was the worship director at his church and also a youth leader at Eagles Community Fellowship which equip young people to be effective in their communities. He is a self-taught musician and has learned to play the guitar, keyboard and saxophone. Now, at the age of 28,L'loyd is married to Janice and the couple have a beautiful baby boy Levi who turns two this month.

Since Idols L'loyd has been extremely busy performing at corporate events and private functions. L'loyd's advice to all young and aspiring artists/musicians, is to reach for your dream, don't give up! All things are possible! Reach for the stars.
