Megan Kate Coleman is a beauty queen who represented
South Africa in Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico and
Miss World 2007 in China, but she didn't place in
any of the pageants. She was Miss South Africa for
2006. She has a Bachelor of Social Science degree
(in Media, Communications & Marketing), and is
presently a TV presenter.

Megan was raised in small town called Hillcrest in
Kwa-Zulu Natal. She says that she and her sister
were lucky enough to grow up surrounded by animals
of every kind. She thanks her parents for her
wonderful upbringing and giving her such a solid
foundation.
She describes herself as confident,
ambitious and compassionate. Her goals in life are
to reach her full potential, to fulfill her destiny
and to be successful. In the past few years she says
that she has learnt that she is not above criticism
and learning the hard way.
She has recently completed her Bachelor of Social
Sciences degree in Media and Communications and
Marketing. She plans to use this qualification in
her career and in promoting the Tapologo AIDS
hospice in South Africa.

Her life changed when she was crowned Miss South
Africa 2006. She says that she entered on the
spur of the moment when she heard the radio advert
in her car. She sees it as a wonderful opportunity
to help enrich the lives of her fellow citizens and
represent the country in a positive, uplifting
manner. She says that it is also a platform for her
to interact with the women of South Africa in a way
that she has never been able to do before.
She also represented South Africa in the Miss
Universe 2007, and the Miss World 2007.

During her reign, she wished to establish workshops,
which promote the value of women in society, by
encouraging them to make the most of who they are
both physically and emotionally. One of the main
areas of focus in these workshops was to be to teach
women to establish their own sense of self worth
that is not based on other’s opinions, thereby
enabling them to stand up against abuse of all
kinds.

Megan is very involved with AIDS Hospice, Tapologo
and Helpnet which cares for abused and neglected
children.
This blonde beauty has looks and a brain, she is
ambitious and she has been a wonderful role-model
for the women in
South Africa. Megan
runs her own business specialising in corporate
makeovers, and also speaks on personal makeovers and
image consulting.
