Ndumiso Lindi - Comedan and MC - Johannesburg

Ndumiso Lindi is a brilliant young comic who is genuinely funny. His grasp of the South African collective "funny-bone" is intuitive and his humour will appeal to fans across the demographic. He has performed for a variety of corporate clients and will not offend. Ndumiso Lindi is a regular at South Africa's only comedy club - Parker's Comedy and Jive.

Comedy has always been a part of his life, have been raised by parents who believed that humour is second in importance only to discipline. Ndumiso considers his family members as some of the greatest comics, and they, along with other comedy idols like Eddie Murphy and Bill Cosby continue to inspire him.

Ndumiso Lindi hails from Zwelitsha, a small township next to King William’s Town in Eastern Cape. He came to Cape Town to study a National Diploma in graphic design at Cape Technikon, and this is when the comedy bug really bit.

In 2004, during the Vodacom Comedy Campus tour, Ndumiso plucked up the courage to get up on stage in front of the entire Tech and try out 3 minutes of comedy. He was amazed at the feeling one gets when you connect with an audience through laughter. Armed with the knowledge that stand-up comedy can affect people and the way they think and feel meant that Ndumiso was ready to take the plunge and give the comedy world his best shot.

He joined the “Comedy All Stars” and started performing at the Armchair Theatre as well as numerous other Cape Town Venues. Ndumiso’s persistence and hard work finally paid off when he won a trip to London as part of 'The Red Bull All Stars Comedy Challenge'. He recently toured South Africa performing at the Barnyard theatre Festival in Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg, sharing a stage with the likes of Kurt Schoonraad, Mel Miller, Riaad Moosa, Dave Levinsohn and Eddie Eckstein.
