I have completed speech and drama classes while busy with university. I had been in contact with post-graduate drama students who had set-up schools while pursuing their masters. I did media studies as a major so I am theoretical with my media knowledge. I have a triple major in Media, marketing and communications so I know how to engage brands.
I have MCed various events. I have also spoken at Women’s day events speaking to woman who are previously disadvantaged and unaware of social implications of society. I have MCed weddings and school gatherings and recently worked on a freelance basis for Stuttafords for their fashion nights. During my honours year, I worked a brand ambassador for Lil-Lets South Africa, speaking to young women about womanhood, being strong and driven and respecting their bodies and themselves.
My television work started at Mr Price Television, (it is the in-house retail station which the company to communicate with staff and their stores.) While here, I realised that this is my career choice and move to Johannesburg. I worked for Ignition GT last year on a freelance basis and learnt the complexities of the medium but also improved my skills at presenting and performing.
I had been with Mr Price Radio for two years before getting into commercial radio. I trained with 94.7-Highveld Stereo, Joburg’s Number 1 as a DJ in 2011. Since March 2012- I have been with East Coast Radio. I have done voice-over work for Ignition and other commercials including Mr Price and academic institutions.
