Rosie Motene is an accomplished actress in theatre, television and film, a TV soapy star and well known presenter, director and producer and a global MC. This 2008 Shoprite / Checkers Woman of the Year Award nominee is an accomplished global MC and has compeered a number of top events both locally and abroad. Rosie, who completed a Bachelor of arts in dramatic art at Wits, is regarded as one of SA's best dressed women and has received and been nominated for many awards, including Most Stylish media personality at the 2003 South African Style Awards. She has graced the covers and pages of many South African and international magazines, including Truelove, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Style, Joburg Style, Destiny Magazine, and African Woman. In 2007, Rosie along with a number of other African personalities featured in the internationally acclaimed VANITY FAIR MAGAZINE in an issue dedicated to Africa.
An active in community worker and campaign ambassador, Rosie is a board member of POWA (People Opposing Women Abuse), Childline,The Tomorrow Trust, The Johannesburg Children's home and The Infinite Family, located in USA. She is also involved in campaigning against women and child abuse in South Africa. Rosie also supports the 1-Global campaign for education and has written a personal story in the big read which occurred in 2009.
