Tanja was born in Melkbosstrand.  Her parents relocated to Mossel Bay when she was seven years old.  By this time she could already play keyboard and took classes in modern dancing.  She continued her studies in both these fields and started to perform as keyboard player and backing vocalist for different bands since 1999 where they performed at marriages and other functions.

Spurred on by the positive reaction of her audiences, this song writer, singer and musician decided to give her music career her all.

Seeing that Tanja was subjected to so many music styles during her music education and performances, the only choice she had to make was to decide what type of music she wanted to dedicate her energy to.

She subsequently released her first CD in 2009 (The CD includes the music video:”Te vergeefs.”) “Te vergeefs” can be viewed on KykNet and YouTube.

No specific sound was decided upon beforehand.  Each song was taken in its ‘raw’ state; the music and feeling were built around it.  Her original work in both Afrikaans and English, fall into the Pop/Rock genre.

Charl accompanies Tanja on the electrical guitar.  The duo would love to have a full band, especially for live performances.
