The Banx - Rock Band - Durban

 

The Banx, are a three piece grunge rock band based in Durban, South Africa. The Banx, have just completed the recording of their 2nd EP titled SNAFU-EP. SNAFU-EP features three mind blowing tracks; Silent Circus, She didn’t know and Pattern Freak.

The Banx have been jamming for around 4 years now, and have already achieved considerable success since their existence. Recent achievements for the band include launching a successful EP ‘Don’t Tell Anyone’, and opened Splashy Fen in 2007. The Banx have also been on the UJ fm SA Top 20 Chart for over 13 weeks, reaching 3rd position.

Local gigs and festivals have earned The Banx a sizeable local following over the past few years. They are hoping to reach as many new listeners with their latest EP.

The band launched their first album with smash hits like “Candy Pop” and “If I dream”. Recordings off their second EP were completed in 2008 with the tracks “Silent Circus” and “Pattern Freak” promising to take rock to new heights.

The band has been rocking for five years now and is still rolling strong. One of their greatest achievements includes making it on the South African Top 20 chart where they climbed for 13 weeks, making third position.

A strong sound, a fresh beat and a crowd wowing performance will definitely keep The Banx in the lead.

The Banx are forever keeping with the times and providing the crowds with new tracks such as “You Said You Had To” a brand new song that you can’t but sing along to!
