Tshepo Mogale - Comedian and Mc - Johannesburg

Within a month of returning from the comedy festival he was invited to perform in the second comedy Blackout which featured top comedy acts from the United States and South Africa including David Kau and Kagiso Lediga. With all this happening Tshepo has become a writer for the Pure Monate Show which is arguably the most popular show on television amongst black youths. Besides that Tshepo is also a talented actor and up and coming musician.

Street-wise Tshepo Mogale started his career as a rapper.

His curious take on everyday issues and South African stereotypes make for a cheeky laughter-filled act.

Tshepo Mogale started doing stand up comedy in 1999 in Cape Town. His first show was at a comedy competition at a venue called Hobnobs, where- let’s just say- he wasn’t welcome there any longer... At about the same time that he started his comedy career, the Cape Comedy Collective was created, which was a collective of about 25 comics who are some of the biggest names around the country today. Hhe performed all around Cape Town in both classy and dingy venues with the home base being the Cape Comedy Club namely the Armchair Theatre in Observatory.

Tshepo went on to release a gold selling comedy musical CD under the alias Spykos. Spykos went on to perform at many different venues from Cape Town to Venda to Polokwane to Zimbabwe to Swaziland, in many places where he has shared the stage with the biggest musical acts in South Africa including Zola, Malaika, Pitch Black Afro and many more. With the popularity of Spykos, and Tshepo's talent as a comedian, it gives him the ability to perform to the most sophisticated of audiences to the bluest of the blue collar audiences

In mid-2005 Tshepo was invited as a writer and performer to appear on the MNET show Laugh out Loud with Jeremy Mansfield and Darren Simpson, doing pranks on celebrities and the public.
