Ray-Zaka was born and raised in Potchefstroom (Ikageng), raised by a single parent, his father, after the passing of his mother at the age of eight. Ray-Zaka fell in love with HIP HOP MUSIC at a very young age, wrote his first verse at the age of 13, and started battle rapping at hip hop sessions.
Ray-Zaka is a dynamic rapper, singer, song writer, producer and performer who has over 5 years of performing experience.
He has featured on Rhythm City as a guest performer alongside Rhythm City's very own Bruno AKA Bongani Spiro, Performed on popular music shows like Shiz Niz (etv), Sky Room Live (sabc 1), has featured as a guest performer on Cula Sibone, Kasi Vibes (Soweto TV), Fullclip (Yfm), Ukhozi fm, Eldos FM, Voice of Wits, Blazing Hip Hop (5fm), Tswane FM, Agang fm, Capricon FM and a lot others.
Ray-Zaka has worked with Red Button, Mmino e’Cleve, Terrance McKay, Bruno (AKA Bongane/Spiro on Rhythm City), Techno P, Faceless, Street Carnivore, just to mention a few. Ray-Zaka has released songs like Sutha Tseleng, All We Ever Do, Brand New Maskhandi playing on high rotation on national radio stations. Brand New Maskhandi Music Video has had Channel O rotation.
Ray-Zaka has performed at Events like The All White 80s party in Potchefstroom, SkyRoomLive, Soweto Festival, Soweto Camp Festival, Polokwane All White Party, alongside acts like AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Black Coffee, Black Motion just to mention a few.
