Solo Musician - Durban
Verd Eaton

Verd is what’s known in the music industry parlance as a breakout artist. His stunning debut solo EP “STILL LUV U” has been play listed on over 100 radio stations countrywide, achieving numerous number one placing over a diverse range of radio categories. His song “BABY” and “BE MY QUEEN” became one of the biggest musical events of 2006/2007.

The single was not only play listed on over 100 radio stations countrywide, but also went on to achieve numerous no.1 or top 5 charts placing on all the major and regional urban radio stations.

The year 2010 not only promised, but delivered the long awaited self titled “VERD” album. Not only is it self titled but also self produced with accolades that soon followed. Verd has also successfully and confidently managed to release this new offering independently, thus proving his experience and education in the music business. The year 2010 also demanded his contribution toward the 2010 Soccer World Cup which saw him flamboyantly captivating audiences in excess of 20 000 people at various fan parks. Undoubtedly a milestone in his career.

Supported by comprehensive publicity and promotional campaigns, coupled with his single with “Pitch Black Afro”, Verd and his brother Vally also produced hits for Mandoza, Psyfo, 101 Pop Stars, Afro Z, Jae and Jerusha just to mention a few. Verd has built a national profile as a music producer, artist and celebrity in South Africa.

In an enviably short period of time, Verd has successfully earned himself a string of accomplishments and accolades - Not bad for the young artist from Durban.

Verd’s phenomenal success has therefore given him comprehensive publicity and promotional campaigns, coupled with rave reviews and recognition from SA’ s press building him a strong national profile as an artist and celebrity in SA. To all intents and purposes, Verd remains a contemporary popular music idol that shatters traditional market barriers and has retained a large following that triumphantly crosses social, cultural and economic barriers.
