Born Mthokozisi Khathi (1976 August 24) in the peaceful environment of KwaHlabisa and affectionately known as ‘Dj Tira’ to the general public, relocated to Durban in 1995 to study Human Resources at the University of Kwazulu-Natal.
It was love at first sight for a music loving Dj Tira when he was introduced to the art of deejaying in his first year of tertiary schooling. His love quickly turned into passion when he saved his spending money to purchase his first vinyl, the perfectionist in him drove him to mastering the art of dj’ing in a short space of time. He quickly gained popularity playing at varsity parties, weddings and numerous private events.
