Jacob Mynhardt Louw known as Jakkie Louw , was born on May 20, 1979, in Oudtshoorn, is a versatile South African singer, songwriter, and actor. After completing his education at D.F. Malan High School, he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in General at the University of Stellenbosch. Louw made a name for himself in the music industry with numerous popular songs, including "Drie Pikkewyne" (Three Penguins), "Bamboesbos" (Bamboo Forest), "Gemaak in SA" (Made in SA), "Voshaarnooi" (Voshaar Girl), and "Die Hoendersong" (The Chicken Song).
His album "Gemaak in SA" features the significant hit "Een miljoen woorde" (One Million Words), showcasing his songwriting talent. In addition to his solo career, Louw collaborates with Kevin Leo under the duo name Jakkals and Leo, further expanding his musical reach. While still in high school, he co-founded the music group Stone Analysis alongside Viljoen Retief, Christiaan Wood, and Colin Johnson. Starting his musical journey in Stellenbosch, Louw later relocated to Pretoria, where he gained popularity with songs like "Rambo die polisiehond" (Rambo the Police Dog) and "'n Bottel Tas" (A Bottle Bag).
