Marie Outtier is the founder and CEO of The Sales Counsel, a specialist sales performance and leadership consultancy working with organisations navigating complexity, pressure, and change.

With more than 25 years of experience in B2B sales and sales leadership, Shelley has spent her career helping sales teams perform when the stakes are high, and helping leaders create the conditions for performance that lasts. Her work is grounded in real-world commercial experience and informed by behavioural science and performance psychology, always translated into practical, usable tools.

Shelley founded The Sales Counsel in 2016 and created Africa’s first Remote Selling School, supporting organisations across multiple industries as selling environments shifted and buyer behaviour changed. Since then, her work has evolved from building sales capabilities to a broader focus on sales performance, leadership effectiveness, and high-performing teams under sustained pressure.
