Workers day

‘MAY’ we have your attention please? After all, this is our ‘May’ Newsletter. Ugg, Real Slim Shady, such a kidder.

On the subject of May, it is the month ‘of work’, or is it to take a break from work? We are a little confused that it’s a holiday on the 1st of the month and we call it workers day. The history of May Day (workers day) is fascinating and involves Ray Alexander (from way back in 1895) and things that happened in the Johannesburg District Trades Council. A very interesting story! Do you know who else tells good stories?

Atang Tshikare

Poets!

Rhymesters and Balladeers, Story Tellers and Poems are so deeply ingrained in humanities culture and there are records as far back as 2700 BC, with ‘The Epic of Gilgamesh’. In Africa, we are even more ‘epic’er’, having passed information on for many decades more using stories, used to preserve history, traditional culture and ritual ceremonies. Chavunduka and Vambe would agree with us.

Our agency books some of the most entertaining and mesmerizing talent on the continent. Atang, Gcina, Lebo, Busiswa, Botlhale and Nomakhwezi. Many of them also offer MC duties and all of them offer shows. ‘Read’ about them and ‘book’ here: https://www.entertainment-online.co.za/poets.htm

True or False

True or False?

We live in a world where we all like to talk and no one really listens?

Trend Keynote Speakers like Clem Sunter, Kali Ilunga, Bronwyn Williams, Mushambi Mutuma, Dion Chang and Jean-Pierre Murray-Kline can offer insight into the happenings of today and peel back the curtain on the future. But you got to hear them!

These Guest Speakers normally prepare custom talks for their audience and are booked a few weeks in advance. Get trending on this link: https://www.entertainment-online.co.za/globaltrendsspeaker.htm

Some new arrivals.

We add around 10 new features every single month. It’s hard to pick which ones to share in a newsletter, but we did it, and here they are:

Exhibit Entertainment

Exhibitions are great for meeting new suppliers and clients, they are also the perfect opportunity to use those business cards that have been sitting in your desk draw for months. Exhibits are where we learn things you never knew you didn’t know.

When it comes to entertainment at exhibitions it’s a bit of a niche because often there is no epicentre of focus, like a stage. Roaming entertainers, like those on link: https://www.entertainment-online.co.za/buskers.htm are very good options. Then, the glue that holds everything together are panel moderators and MCs. We have so many exceptional options for you to pick from, clickty click here: https://www.entertainment-online.co.za/mcs_comperes.htm
