About Rhythmic Pulse
Rhythmic Pulse is a highly professional, energetic, and versatile Pop/AfroPop/RnB- Soul/Party band from Johannesburg, South Africa. Formed in October 2021, the group’s lineup consists of Male Lead Vocalist - Grant Johnson, Female Lead vocalist - Monique Hendricks, Piano and Keyboards - Curt Petrus, who is also the Musical Director, Bassist - Edwin Steyn and Drummer - Keith Marisheni. These 5 seasoned session musicians came together to form a collective, creating their own sound and synergy.
They have a vast background from theatre, festivals, weddings, private functions, television productions and corporate events. They have shared the stage with many household names individually and collectively like Mango Groove, Mi Casa, Zoë Modiga, Chante Moore (USA), Paul Simon (USA), Jonathan Butler, Idols Sa Band, Selena Johnson (USA) Dr Victor, Jamali, Hugh Masekela, to name a few.
Their Debut Single BRAND NEW is a classic song previously recorded by Stylistics (You Make Me Feel Brand New.) It was inspired by their community and audience who are all lovers of Old School music, a fresh and catchy Vernacular hook was added that brings out that true South African flavor. "We want to give our people what they love, with our own sound to it." A lot of chart-topping bands, from the Beatles to the Who and ToTo, started out as cover bands or session musicians working with well-known artists that became recording bands, and that’s a huge inspiration to Rhythmic Pulse who are one of the best Cover Bands in SA.

They are currently in studio recording their Debut album, consisting of songs that speak about their lives and experiences to very well-known cover songs but delivered in the distinctive Rhythmic Pulse sound.
Their collaboration brings high value entertainment to any event big or small, from background music to current chart-topping hits to fill the dance floor.
The repertoire consists of local and international songs ranging from pop, RnB, rock n roll, afro, soul, jazz, house and many more. They are one of the resident live bands at Katzy's, a premier live music venue in Rosebank Johannesburg, and also at Poppy’s Cresta, and can be seen at various Corporate events, Parties, Private Functions and Weddings.
